*Huluween Dragstravaganza* is a Halloween musical comedy special that blends drag, music, sketch comedy, and classic horror into one delightfully over-the-top celebration of spooky season. When two drag performers find themselves trapped inside a haunted television, they set out to create the ultimate Halloween variety show in hopes of finding their way home.
Filled with original musical numbers, outrageous characters, and a steady stream of monsters, mayhem, and campy humor, the special embraces the spirit of classic Halloween television while putting a modern drag-inspired spin on the formula. Equal parts horror homage and comedy spectacle, *Huluween Dragstravaganza* delivers a colorful world where the costumes are bigger, the performances are bolder, and Halloween is celebrated with absolutely no restraint.
On Huluween Dragstravaganza, my work focused on motion graphics, visual effects, and compositing. The production relied heavily on green screen photography, requiring extensive VFX work to seamlessly place performers into the special's Halloween-inspired world.
A key part of the project was designing and building a fully realized 3D news set, along with the accompanying broadcast graphics, animated logo treatments, and on-screen graphic packages. The goal was to create a cohesive visual language that could support the show's mix of music, comedy, horror, and camp while helping tie the various segments together into a single larger-than-life experience.
