I worked as both editor and motion graphics artist, with a primary focus on building the piece around the fight card itself. The structure was driven by matchups—who’s fighting who—using typography and graphic layouts to clearly present each bout while keeping the energy high. Because I was handling both roles, I was able to shape the edit around the graphics and the graphics around the edit, rather than treating them as separate departments working in parallel. Everything was designed to feel cohesive, with timing and layout evolving together.
The motion graphics were designed to feel sharp and direct, with clean, impactful type and fast transitions that mirrored the intensity of the sport. The focus was on clarity and timing; making sure each name, matchup, and moment landed with purpose.
Editorially, the pacing followed the progression of the card, using quick cuts and precise timing to build momentum from one fight to the next. It became a balance between information and energy; delivering the details while still feeling like a high-impact promo.
The result was a streamlined, fast-moving piece where the graphics and edit worked together to drive the excitement of the event without getting in the way of it.
